Baby stuff

I’ve always been fascinated with carousel horses…and rocking horses that have the same quality. This is the most beautiful rocking horse I’ve seen. And for the cost of these things, they’d better be. At over 2K (starting!), you’d have to strap your kid on for a few years to get your money’s worth.

I’d like to see someone use this before I purchase one. But I have a suspicion that the idea is better than the practicality of it. However, it’s still cool looking.

My right brain appreciates the randomness of this…it is kinda cool. But my librarian side begs to ask, “Why?!”

You have to click on the pictures to get the full effect:

I love to keep my cereal somewhat crunchy…as much as the next person. I’m always looking for a great way to keep it crunchy and my milk cold. I have yet to find the ‘perfect’ method. This…again…hm.

Cool Website: Pandora

Ginger sent me a cool radio website: Pandora. You put in your favorite artist or song. They find all of the songs that are by that artist and/or other songs that would interest you because of your choice.

I take pride in providing a well rounded collection of reading materials for the guests who will inevitably visit the bathroom in our home. I’m not joking. I put a lot of thought into this!

I don’t know about you, but I feel bathroom time is prime reading time. It’s a good thing I married someone who believes this, as well.
Pre-B, the powder room was very dramatic: midnight blue on all walls and ceiling with homemade potato star stencils sprinkled very artistically. I was quite proud of it. But when B started to come over more often, that kind of became ‘his’ bathroom. He would complain that it was just too dark to read in it. In fact, he complained so often (even though he says he didn’t) that I totally changed the decor in there for blaringly bright lemon yellow and just enough black accent to keep you from going blind. I don’t think he’s a fan…but at least he can’t complain he can’t see what he’s reading.

But I digress. (more…)

I can’t believe today is the last day of July. And that much closer to the end of summer break for me.

As I have said before, during the summer my sleep schedule is totally turned around. And with that…and no real responsibilities (read: baby), I follow my internal clock. (B. hates it when I don’t go to bed with him…but I just can’t sleep all the way through the night…I tried, I really did!)

So…it’s 3:33 am…I like to have background noise. Hm. What do I do? Turn on the tv, of course! And what’s on this late/early? Yup, INFOMERCIALS!

header_asseenontv_home1.jpgHow did I ever survive without knowing about these wondrous things? It was only by the grace of God that I have been able to wash clothes, fix my hair, clean, do ANYTHING! I-must-have-them-ALL!

Seriously though…They have been getting more and more polished. A few years ago, you had that man yelling at you (is he still on?)…or the pseudo-talk show where everybody in the audience went to the same ‘acting’ workshop. (get a refund!)

Although I have to say I probably come by this love of useless stuff honestly. (more…)
